Our Mission: Connection Without Comparison
BeyondLimits exists because dating should bring joy, not stress - and that starts with understanding. We are a dating platform for people with disabilities, chronic conditions, and those who value them for who they truly are. Our mission is simple: create a space where every person feels seen, respected, and desired - without ever having to justify their disability.
We built BeyondLimits with direct input from people with disabilities across every community we serve. This is not a charity project. It is an empowerment platform - designed with the same quality standards as leading SaaS products, because our members deserve nothing less.

How BeyondLimits Started
BeyondLimits was born from frustration. Our founders - people with disabilities themselves - spent years navigating mainstream dating apps where they were unmatched the moment they disclosed their disability, faced patronizing messages, or encountered interfaces that didn't work with assistive technology.
The breaking point came in 2023, when a survey of 4,000 people with disabilities revealed that 72% had experienced rejection on mainstream apps specifically because of their disability (Disability Visibility Project). That same year, our founding team of engineers, accessibility experts, and disability advocates began building something different.
By 2024, BeyondLimits launched in beta with 12 distinct disability communities, each shaped by the lived experience of community advisors. Today, the platform serves over 2.8 million members across 6 countries - proof that when you build dating sites for people with disabilities the right way, people show up.

These four principles guide every decision we make - from product design to community moderation. They reflect the values our members asked us to uphold.
Inclusion
We serve 12 disability communities and welcome people with invisible disabilities, chronic illness, and anyone open to dating someone with a disability. Our language respects both person-first ("person with a disability") and identity-first ("Deaf person," "autistic person") preferences - because how you describe yourself is your choice.
Safety
Every profile is verified with selfie-video confirmation. Our AI-powered moderation detects devotees - people who fetishize disability - and removes them before they can contact you. Review our safety tips for more details.
Respect
We never use outdated terms like "handicapped" or "wheelchair-bound." Our content team includes disability advocates who ensure respectful, trauma-informed language across every page, notification, and support interaction on the platform.
Accessibility
BeyondLimits works with screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver), keyboard navigation, switch devices, and voice control. Video chat includes live captions. Profile photo descriptions are available in audio. This is an accessible dating app built from the ground up.
